Your future role
The Sub System Planning Manager acts as a key support to the Project Manager, Chief of Development (CoD), and Chief of Operations, serving as a trusted right hand on all project related matters. The role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating project, development, and operations schedules, while applying established project scheduling processes to ensure effective delivery.
They actively promote strong time‑management practices within the project team, contribute to continuous improvement through return‑of‑experience (REX) activities, and share best practices, tools, and schedule templates. In addition, the role requires a solid awareness of industrial planning principles to align scheduling activities with broader operational and production considerations.
We’ll look to you for:
- Contribute to the Project Time Management Plan defined by the Senior Project Planning Manager
- Build the project schedule for their area based on internal standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), contractual targets and data provided by all stakeholders.
- Understand industrial planning routines when defining the schedule management plan and setup for earned value
- Contribute with the Finance Project Manager to Earned Value Management
- Participate to the validation of the project baseline
- Ensure the consistency of all the internal and external Stakeholders commitments for their area, and manages the schedules interfaces,
- Perform schedule analysis & trade-offs to close identified gaps or schedule issues of their area
- Organise and lead periodic project schedule sessions for his area
- Provide a timely updated schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline
- Focus on early identification of potential delays (critical paths) including the status on risks and margin related to schedule
- Understand the risks linked to configuration changes, along with needed retrofits
- Provide support to development manager on all issues related to development schedule
- Ensure that configuration baselines are planned properly in the development schedule
- Understand the risks of development logic deviations, provide warning to CoD if any

- Project management or industrial background is required for the role
- Knowledge of different scheduling tools is highly desirable
- Comfortable working with internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality and their interfaces
- Project scheduler experience is a plus
- Basic overall knowledge of railway products, and good knowledge of the Sub-System
- Agility to juggle with schedules simulations, various scenarios, and changing project goals
- Good Communications and interpersonal skills, excellent team worker
- Conflict management and multi-tasking
- Be able to challenge sub-system team and highly initiative taking in proposing solutions
- Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment
