Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
As a stellar Corporate Counsel, you will counsel clients in the implementation of a variety of compliance requirements applicable to the provision of internet access and similar services, such as: regulatory matters, law enforcement response, network management, network security and other telecoms related matters. Prior experience in these areas is a plus. The successful candidate will have strong writing and legal counselling skills, and an insatiable curiosity for learning new technologies and legal issues. Working closely with the Leo team and across Amazon, this Corporate Counsel will develop out-of-this-world strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, as well as build processes that address risk and allow Leo the flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology and telecoms, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
