About Network & Acquiring Solutions
As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Multi-Rail Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs.
Solutions Design & Testing is a newly formed team within the Enterprise Payments Product Development. We are embarking on a large-scale digital transformation program to modernize the payment landscape across proprietary markets. We are seeking an experienced product analyst to help support the Solution Design team as we continue through this multi-year roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Business Flow / Process design – Translate requirements into business design process maps,
Solution design - Support product managers as they take the designs and work with colleagues across product, architecture, engineering to develop into technical solutions
Product Owner - Support product owners as they get the work into features and through PI planning ready for development
Design Queries - Tracking through to closure of key business and engineering decisions.
Documentation- Ensure documentation of decisions made for all decisions and artifacts related to design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a project analyst / product analyst preferred
Proven experience in business process mapping
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively operate in ambiguity and quickly evolving priorities
Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with various business units.
Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
