Responsibilities will include:

  • Evolve the distribution and capability strategy for products within the portfolio, leveraging customer insights (consumer and commercial), partnerships, business opportunity assessment and industry trends
  • Coordinate market and customer research and leverage to develop product constructs, feature roadmap, customer personas, and best-in-class user experiences
  • Lead translation of business and customer needs into clear product requirements, process flows, and prioritized engineering deliverables.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs, using data to inform roadmap decisions, backlog prioritization, and continuous improvement
  • Lead through influence across engineering, design, operations, risk, legal, and commercial teams in a highly matrixed environment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on network tokenization, digital wallets, and emerging payment models, representing Amex in internal and external forums

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in product management or product development experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, customer-facing products
  • Experience managing products operating at scale in regulated or platform-based environments (e.g., payments, fintech, identity)
  • Demonstrated product management competency, guiding products from concept to implementation
  • Proven track record of working with global and virtual teams to support product delivery with high quality
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams, understand system architectures and APIs, and make informed tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, derive insights, and use metrics to influence product and business decisions
  • Experience engaging directly with external partners or clients, representing the product team with professionalism and credibility
  • Competency in analyzing and extracting insights from data and leverage to influence leaders and other stakeholders
  • Able to build positive relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence decisions with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proactive “driver” constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated comfort with challenging status quo
  • Strong ability to stay connected to remote partners and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated resilience, collaborative mindset, and ability to maintain perspective in complex and fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payments industry experience
  • Knowledge of network tokenization, digital identity, B2B payments, or wallet ecosystems
