What the day will look like In this varied role your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to: Supporting senior brokers with the preparation, negotiation and placement of renewal and new business for marine cargo clients. Preparing and updating market presentations and broker submissions to respond to client and prospect enquiries. Reviewing and drafting basic insurance documentation (e.g. slips, endorsements and binders) under supervision, and issuing them to clients and insurers. Using electronic placing platforms to support the placement process and, once trained, sign market lines under appropriate authority. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with insurers and underwriters, initially alongside senior brokers and increasingly independently as your experience grows. Liaising closely with Client Service Delivery (CSD) colleagues to ensure accurate and timely processing of documentation, invoicing and policy issuance. Contributing to the maintenance of placement records, broking file quality and compliance with internal procedures. Representing Aon and the Yacht team professionally in internal and external meetings, demonstrating an understanding of client objectives and Aon’s broader capabilities. Skills and experience that will lead to success Experience in a broking or similar insurance role Familiarity with insurance industry systems and tools, with the ability to learn and use placing platforms and internal systems efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality documentation and file management. Evidence of building effective working relationships, ideally with internal stakeholders (e.g. brokers, account managers, operations). High level of numeracy, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well as part of a cross‑functional team, taking direction from senior brokers while proactively managing your own workload. 2581703
