Aon has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our renowned Global Broking Centre in London.

The Executive Assistant is a trusted partner who provides comprehensive administrative, operational and strategic support to the leader of our Property, Casualty and Crisis Management business unit. This role combines excellent traditional executive support with a highly proactive, forward-thinking approach that creates capacity for the leader and enables them to focus on strategic business priorities.

The successful candidate will anticipate the needs of the leaders they support, manage competing priorities, identify and resolve issues before they arise, and use technology and AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve productivity, information flow and ways of working. They will operate with discretion, sound judgement and confidence in a fast-paced, globally connected environment.

This is a Hybrid role which will involve part office/home-based working (minimum 2 days expected in the office). We’re happy to talk flexible working. What the day will look like

In this role, you will provide high-quality executive support to senior leaders in Aon’s Global Broking Centre, helping them stay organised, prepared and focused on business priorities.

  • Manage complex diaries, meetings, travel, expenses and day-to-day administration with confidence and accuracy.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting packs, briefing materials, presentations, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate Town Halls, leadership meetings, away days and business events in person, working with internal teams and external suppliers where needed.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders, handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Anticipate priorities, identify issues early and leverage technology, including Microsoft 365 and approved AI tools, to improve efficiency and ways of working.

About you

Essential experience

  • Significant experience supporting senior executives, directors or leadership teams in a complex, matrixed corporate environment; extensive relevant executive support experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience of complex diary, travel, meeting and expense management.
  • Experience preparing leadership or meeting packs, briefing materials, presentations and minutes.
  • Experience organising Town Halls, away days, offsites or comparable large-scale business events.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate proactively, anticipate requirements and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across different functions or geographies.
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, broking or a comparable corporate environment is desirable.

Technical capability

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Copilot or comparable AI-enabled productivity tools, with an understanding of responsible use and quality assurance.
  • Experience of Workday, expense management, procurement or other enterprise systems is desirable.
  • High standard of document formatting, presentation preparation and information management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, relevant executive support or business administration qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Executive support or business administration qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Ongoing professional development in AI, digital productivity or event coordination would be advantageous.
