Job Description

Arm designs scalable, energy efficient-processors and related technologies to reach this goal. We create hardware and software solutions to help these partners to achieve their goals and to go to the market faster. This is an excellent opportunity to join Arm's Partner Enablement group! As applications engineer you will help Arm's partners to successfully integrate our software solutions in server and cloud applications. You will do hands on work to support ODMs to bring up their Arm based platforms.

You will work together with the biggest cloud service providers. As an applications engineer you will learn a lot about our server platform and software products that are the building stones of our solutions. Once your knowledge is established you will investigate issues, run code to recreate scenarios to find solution to the questions and problems raised by our partners.

Every day you’ll be faced with a different set of technical challenges on a variety of different products. We strongly believe in knowledge sharing. One of your role will be to create training materials, applications notes and other contents for our customers to better understand our technology.

Required Skills And Experience

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related

field

  • 3+ years of experience in related role
  • Strong programming skills in C
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and people-handling skills
  • A desire for learning and self-improvement

“Nice To Have” Skills And Experience

  • Understanding of modern processor architecture, including cache behavior, and

memory system behavior

  • Good understanding of the Linux kernel (subsystems and device drivers)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as PCIe, USB, I2C, DDR, SPI etc.
  • Understanding of UEFI, ACPI and Devicetree
  • Experience in board bring-up and debugging
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Hands-on experience with the provisioning and debug of operating systems used in

Cloud and Data Centre solutions

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with Cloud and Data Centre infrastructure

and software solutions

  • CI/CD development and maintenance, general software automation experience

Key Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

  • Provide fast and accurate technical answers to customer questions about Arm’s

software ecosystem and reference design software

  • Develop and deliver technical training courses
  • Capture customer requirements and feedback into product development
  • Create and modify knowledge base articles and application notes
  • Participate in customer calls and help to unblock technical issues
  • Develop tools and techniques to aid Application Engineers find solutions more

efficiently
