We are keen to hear from people with a strong interest in offshore wind and geotechnical engineering, who enjoy collaborative problem‑solving and are motivated to keep developing their expertise. You are likely to bring some of the following:
Experience in, or relevant academic study of, geotechnical design for fixed and/or floating offshore wind foundations, using current industry standards and guidance
Experience interpreting ground investigations and laboratory and in‑situ test results; experience undertaking laboratory testing is welcomed
An understanding of constitutive soil models and their calibration against laboratory or field data
Familiarity with offshore wind design codes (desirable)
A collaborative and adaptable working style, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience using industry‑standard numerical modelling software such as PLAXIS or LS‑DYNA to model soil–structure interaction problems, including cyclic loading effects (desirable)
You may hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (such as an MSc or PhD), or be working towards one, and will be motivated to grow Arup’s offshore wind engineering capability through high‑quality technical delivery and strong client relationships.
