Joining Arup

Arup's purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

Our Resources and Critical Materials business brings together expertise across mining, quarrying, waste, energy, water, infrastructure and environment to support the responsible supply of critical materials essential to society. As demand for critical minerals accelerates, we see a unique opportunity to redefine how mining projects are planned, delivered and operated, integrating sustainability, resilience and whole system thinking from the outset.

We are not a traditional mining consultancy. We bring whole system thinking across infrastructure, energy and environment to redefine project outcomes and support more sustainable development of mining projects globally.

  • Flexibility to support and deliver wider infrastructure projects in the Resources market to supplement mining opportunities.
Provide mentoring and coaching to other team members at senior, junior and graduate level.
  • Support the development and implementation of Arup’s mining market strategy, aligned to global priorities.
  • Lead and assist others in carrying out business development activities including preparation of technical proposals and client engagement.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially aware individual with a strong technical foundation and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

  • Experience working on international projects.
  • Experience building client relationships and contributing to winning work.
  • The ability to operate independently while also working effectively within a wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring or leading others.
  • A clear interest in advancing more sustainable approaches to mining.
