We are looking for experienced Principal and Senior Town Planners to join our London office. The successful candidates will play a key role in managing planning processes for infrastructure projects from early project feasibility, optioneering, consenting and delivery. You will be confident in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, advising clients on complex planning matters, and leading the day-to-day delivery of a project (e.g. preparing a planning application, drafting reports / advice and meeting with clients and key stakeholders) in accordance with a client’s objectives and programme. This role could include management of Development Consent Orders (DCO) and planning applications.
At Arup, you will work with planners, designers, economists, transport specialists and infrastructure experts to deliver projects that support sustainable, inclusive and deliverable places. You will join a collaborative team with access to high-profile commissions, multidisciplinary expertise and structured professional development.
At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. Support proposals, business development and the growth of our infrastructure offer.
Designing and delivering consultation, engagement and stakeholder workshops and mentor colleagues and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team.
We are seeking an individual with good knowledge of planning and environmental legislation, policy and procedures, with a strong track record of experience on complex TCPA consents and / or DCOs, including dealing confidently with a range of stakeholders. You will also have the following:
