Job Description:
This role provides an integrated business and project planning capability, establishing clear frameworks, processes and governance to support strategic and tactical delivery. It owns the development and application of planning standards, tools and data that underpin key project milestones, enabling consistent, high quality reporting and decision‑making across the business. Working closely with project and functional teams, the role ensures accurate, timely schedules and resource data, driving insight, accountability and alignment while championing innovative, pragmatic solutions that secure engagement and delivery confidence.
Core duties:
- Establish a robust business resource planning framework with clear processes, governance and review mechanisms
- Deliver an integrated business planning approach using aligned project schedules, resource data and functional inputs
- Develop and enhance planning tools collaboratively to improve consistency, visibility and decision‑making
- Implement and manage strategic and tactical planning standards supporting key milestones and driving business wide engagement
- Maintain accurate planning structures and schedule data, ensuring coherent reporting and timely updates across systems
Essential Skills:
- Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent industry experience, with proven project delivery or planning background
- Formal Project Management training (APM, PMI, PRINCE) and proficiency with scheduling and risk tools
- Considerable experience using SAP and related planning systems to support project and resource management
- Skilled in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau for insight reporting
- Expert understanding of planning techniques, processes and methodologies within complex engineering environments
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Resource Planner or Project Planner in similar industries
The Project Management Office Team:
Join our Project Management Office in Glascoed as we develop a Business Resource Planning capability that enhances existing processes and tools. You will help build and implement a new planning framework, working closely with cross‑functional resource owners to meet evolving business needs efficiently.
