Role Description:

This Project Manager role, is a delivery leadership opportunity that leads execution of an Over The Horizon Radar contract. The role deputises for the OTHR Program Manager as required with both internal and external stakeholders.

As the Project Manager, you will lead contract delivery and work collaboratively with internal leadership stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for the OTHR portfolio.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the OTHR Program Manager
  • Responsible for managing risk reduction activities
  • Responsible for delivery of contracted deliverables within budget and schedule constraints, and managing risks and issues proactively
  • Support relationship with Customers across multiple Governments
  • Responsible for consolidating reporting on program performance within required BAE Systems and Customer governance forums
  • Supports achievement of broader commitments beyond those directly associated with delivery contracts
  • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure resource demand and supply is met to fulfil delivery obligations

About You

You will have:

  • Significant Project Management experience, specifically in the delivery of acquisition projects, ideally gained within a defence industry
  • A strong understanding of Earned Value Management Principles
  • Experience in Contract Management and ASDEFCON Framework
  • Proven ability to manage assurance, governance and risk
  • Exceptional stakeholder and customer relationship management skills with an ability to negotiate with and influence in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
  • An ability to articulate strategy/ purpose and link to objectives and project deliverables
  • Ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to deliver project requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (highly desirable)
  • Eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance
