Salary: £40,000 + depending on experience

Job Description:

You will provide administrative support to a team of around 10 legal professionals within the Head Office Legal function. Supporting colleagues across a range of specialist areas, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department through effective coordination of meetings and travel, document and records management, invoice processing and general team administration. Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality support while helping to drive efficiency and contributing to departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Core duties:

  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across legal and other functions, understanding their administrative requirements and providing proactive support
  • Deliver a professional and responsive service, managing queries efficiently and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate document management and filing systems, ensuring information is organised, secure and compliant with quality standards
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, to prepare and manage a variety of documents and correspondence
  • Prioritise and manage a varied workload, adapting to changing business needs and deadlines
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements and team events, including venue bookings and catering requirements
  • Raise purchase orders and process legal invoices, working closely with Finance to ensure accurate and timely administration

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in an administrative or secretarial support role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience maintaining accurate document management and filing systems
  • Experience coordinating meetings, diary commitments and travel arrangements
  • Knowledge of handling confidential information and data in line with GDPR requirements

The Legal Team:

The Head Office Legal team supports the business on a wide range of legal matters, helping to protect and enable the organisation’s objectives. Made up of legal specialists across several practice areas, the team works closely with colleagues across the business to deliver practical and effective legal support.
