PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £40,000 - £45,000 + London Weighting (£5,441), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The Advertising Product team sits within the Digital News and Streaming group and has ownership of all ad product decisions; sitting across formats, audience segmentation, demand partnerships and the technology needed to deliver ads effectively and efficiently. The team works closely with our UX, design, content and commercial teams as well as technical delivery units to ensure we have best in class, premium ad products delivering for our customers across the Globe.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and growing team that is delivering premium ad experiences for our users whilst aiding the delivery of revenue growth to our overall business.

We are looking for a Yield executive to join the team to help shape and deliver our commercial partner management, reporting, analysis and yield.

The role will be pivotal in setting a path to accurate ad delivery to audiences across our media landscape, including web, app, video/audio variants. It will assist in developing our targeting capabilities and options, reporting, and analytics.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT :

  • Design, execute and monitor our pricing floor strategy to minimise underselling of premium inventory.
  • Conduct regular A/B testing on floor prices across our global properties.
  • Analysis of Open Market vs Private Marketplace performance – moving inventory between tiers to ensure the highest possible eCPM
  • Review past performance to ensure that Business metrics have been met and are on track to reach key business KPIs
  • Looking at the macro picture of our bidders to optimise auction pressure
  • Partner Management of our SSPs and DSPs
  • Audit low-quality ads to protect the site’s brand integrity and maintain high engagement in our ad stack.
  • Coordinate with other areas, including sales, programmatic, and operations
  • Work with the Product and Sales team to provide guidance on pricing for programmatic and direct sales floor rates and support the sales team for business propositions on discounts and offers
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to the business on yield tracking, and programmatic revenue tracking

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Ability to apply industry knowledge, market awareness, audience research and analytics insights to ad product strategy and planning.
• Extensive knowledge of the advertising eco-system
• Familiarity with a/b testing
• Ability to coordinate among multiple business, geographically dispersed stakeholders through an ongoing dialog to ensure product is aligned with business needs and activities.
• Experienced, diplomatic communicator, able to ensure tone and language ensures process, need, approach and outcomes are clearly understood.
• Agile and adaptable, able to work cross-functionally and internationally, with some travel needed.
• Experience of working on direct-to-consumer, digital media or news products an advantage.
