PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £64,000 - £68,000 (plus London weighting @ £5441) + 20% AdSales bonus

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC StoryWorks Programme Partnerships is looking for an Executive Producer to cover maternity leave; leading digital projects across the portfolio.
StoryWorks create beautifully crafted stories that move and inspire curious minds, forging authentic connections between global audiences and brands. The Programme Partnerships team is responsible for creating award-winning digital series for BBC.com’s global audiences outside the UK.
Combining BBC storytelling heritage with industry expertise, the Executive Producer will provide strategic, editorial and creative leadership. Overseeing multiple series and campaigns simultaneously, you will set the vision, manage client relationships, ensure compliance, and lead a team of Producers to deliver innovative, audience-focused, best-in-class content across written, video and social platforms.

You will lead multiple high-profile series and be accountable for maintaining exceptional editorial standards, developing creative talent, and ensuring productions deliver engaging audience experiences that strengthen BBC StoryWorks' reputation for premium branded content.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Set and communicate a clear creative vision for campaigns, ensuring consistency from development through to final delivery
- Inspire, lead and develop multidisciplinary production teams, creating an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive
- Drive innovative, audience-focused storytelling across video, written and social content formats, providing editorial oversight and constructive creative feedback
- Lead editorial and compliance standards, acting as the primary point of contact for guidance and ensuring all content adheres to BBC Editorial Guidelines and Programme Partnerships requirements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, commercial partners and external contributors
- Lead project kick-offs, ensuring editorial vision, style, tone and objectives are clearly communicated and support the development of production processes, workflows and best practice across the department
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Significant experience leading large-scale production of premium digital content, involving multidisciplinary creative teams from concept to final delivery as Producer or Executive Producer
- Evidence of excellent editorial judgement and the ability to make confident decisions in a fast-moving production environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing creative teams, providing clear direction and creative vision and providing regular feedback to support individual growth and maximise performance
- Experience of managing performance effectively; recognising achievement and addressing performance issues in a timely and constructive manner
- Experience of working across multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines, and demonstrating excellent planning and organisational skills
- Thorough understanding of BBC Editorial Guidelines and compliance requirements, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge
- Passion for emerging digital formats, production techniques and evolving audience trends
DESIRABLE:
- Knowledge of audience insight, content performance and optimisation strategies.
