We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Financial Data Reconciliation & Automation Analyst to join BNY’s Reconciliation Platform. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Own the integrity of reconciliation data and exception workflows while partnering across Operations and Technology to deliver automation, insights, and process improvements that reduce breaks, accelerate resolution, and elevate client experience.
- Mine reconciliation and exception data to identify trends and root causes; propose and deliver automation and rule changes.
- Design, test, and deploy matching rules, scripts, and AI‑assisted triage; instrument performance and iterate.
- Map journeys and optimize process flows using design thinking; timebox iterative delivery with agile practices.
- Create compelling data stories and visuals that drive stakeholder decisions and prioritization.
- Perform daily/periodic reconciliations across cash, positions, and transactions; validate feed completeness and data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve exceptions with urgency; escalate per governance and risk protocols.
- Maintain documentation, controls, and audit readiness; support change releases with UAT and defect management.
- Partner with Ops, Tech, Risk, and Client Service to ensure timely communication and resolution.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 2 years of related, hands-on experience
- Demonstrable interest and awareness in the potential of artificial intelligence (AI)
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and execute workload
- Familiarity with technical applications to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex transaction processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams
