WHAT YOU'LL DO


As EMESA Unlocking Potential (UP) Manager, your role is to lead communications, events planning, and engagement BCG's Unlocking Potential function across the EMESA region. UP is BCG's talent enablement function, integrating our efforts across Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing, and this role sits at the heart of how we bring that agenda to life for our people.

Reporting directly into the EMESA UP Senior Director, you will operate as an autonomous strategic thinker and topic owner. You will align with the Global UP Comms Lead on strategy and cascade, set the regional editorial direction, and partner across pillar leads (Women, PRIDE, and AccessAbility), to drive awareness, engagement across all topics.

This is a role for someone who can work independently, deliver across multiple workstreams, and use data and AI-enabled tools to continuously raise the bar on what great comms and engagement looks like.

Communications & Engagement Strategy

  • Lead the EMESA UP communications strategy, aligned to the global UP framework and cascaded in partnership with the Global UP Comms Lead
  • Develop and manage a 12-month editorial calendar in collaboration with the Senior Director
  • Develop and maintain narrative architecture, message maps, and campaign playbooks across the range of Unlocking Potential topics
  • Tailor messaging, channel, and cadence to maximise relevance and minimise message fatigue
  • Maintain brand and voice consistency across all EMESA UP channels and touchpoints
  • Lead post-campaign analysis, synthesising open/click/attendance data and qualitative feedback into insights and actionable recommendations for leadership

Content Production & Channel Management

  • Produce high-quality communications across email (HubSpot), Slack, etc,
  • Lead development or cascade of content for key moments in the UP calendar, including International Women's Day, Pride Month, Mental Health Awareness Week, International Day for Persons w/ Disabilities
  • Manage comms governance to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistency
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of campaign assets and toolkits that pillar leads and office teams can activate independently
  • Leverage AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and personalisation of content production

Regional Events & Conferences

  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of EMESA UP regional conferences and events (e.g., Senior Women Dinner, AccessAbility Virtual Conference, and planning ahead for the 2027 Women Conference), including logistics planning, budgeting, programme design, speaker management, and on-site execution
  • Work with meetings and events team to manage event budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective delivery
  • Work with system teams to ensure an aligned approach to Senior Women Conference 2027
  • Design event communications and engagement strategies to maximise registration, participation, and post-event follow-through
  • Evaluate event impact through attendee feedback and engagement data, feeding insights into future planning

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Act as thought partner to the Senior Director and pillar leads, clarifying asks, challenging assumptions, and co-designing better ways of working
  • Collaborate with system UP teams on topics related to comms, events, and engagement
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to support delivery of UP priorities
  • Support and coach others in aspects of comms and events, as needed

You are a self-starter and strategic communicator and planner. You can translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives and events, and you know how to adapt tone and channel for diverse audiences.

  • Building strong, trusted relationships across a wide and senior stakeholder set

  • Working across a large, international region where context, culture, and audience vary significantly

YOU BRING


Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in either events planning, marketing, communications, employee engagement, or a related field within people functions
  • Demonstrable experience owning and executing communications and engagement strategies
  • Proven track record planning and delivering mid-to-large scale events
  • Experience working with or alongside Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing topics is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with HubSpot (or equivalent email/CRM platform) for campaign delivery and reporting
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support and enhance content production and workflow efficiency
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)


Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the EMESA Unlocking Potential team, a small, dedicated team covering Diversity & Inclusion and Mental Health & Wellbeing for the EMESA region. The team reports into the EMESA UP Senior Director.

Your key working relationships will include:

  • Global UP Comms Lead — for strategy alignment and global-to-regional cascade
  • EMESA UP pillar leads and the broader UP team — as a peer and thought partner
  • BCG Meetings & Events team — for event planning and delivery
