What You'll Do
As a member of the Talent team in Platinion L-A-B (London, Amsterdam, Brussels), you will primarily be responsible for the professional development of the London consulting staff. This role includes supporting individuals in their staffing and career developmental needs, managing both short-term and long-term priorities, adapting to shifting business needs, and identify patterns across the cohort to help drive strategies. In addition, you will be a member of the larger consulting talent team community in EMESA.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Staffing Management
- Responsible for optimizing the deployment of consulting resources to meet our business needs while ensuring that each consulting staff member receives the right set of opportunities to support their immediate BCG Platinion Career Development objectives and their overall long-term professional goals
- Optimizes team design, billability, and achievement of business priorities through a deep awareness of business environment, current available skills, cases, leads/proposals, and office/firm goals; track billability and utilization, maintain a view of staffing and commercial pipeline at a macro and micro level (overall business outlook as well as specific staffing needs)
- Build strong relationships with client facing staff to understand development needs, preferences and constraints for staffing; set and enforce staffing policies and expectations
- Coordinate with local, system, regional, and global staffing teams and represent the L-A-B staffing situation in COS calls
- Work closely with the Immigration & Mobility teams to ensure compliance in work permits & Visas.
- Follow up with the Teaming@BCG team to understand case team dynamics and identify which team/individual could benefit from extra support
- Collaborate with the L&D team to anticipate the training schedule and availability of staff
Career Development
- Actively attend and engage in all CDC meetings for relevant cohort(s) of individuals; review meeting inputs and outputs; provide committee with market view of performance, pressure test and calibrate Career Advisors during meetings
- Partner with our Platinion CD POC and Career Advisors to communicate CDC outcomes with individuals; support with feedback calibration, reinforce and interpret meeting outcomes, provide ongoing advice, understand, and appreciate the values of BCG Platinion and work to preserve these values in interpreting and resolving career development issues
- Reinforce CD messages through Staffing and development discussions to support individual development
(Pre) Onboarding
- Actively engage with candidates and hires early in their BCG Platinion experience; participate in the conversion process; adapt early experiences to meet likely development needs in first cases
- Host onboarding sessions for all new joiners, ensuring a smooth transition into the PA/business and case work
- Ensure new hire is set up for success by sharing relevant documentation, providing first staffing experience, helping create 1st level network, allocating “buddy” and CDA, and frequent check-ins in first month
- Provide Recruiting and local leadership with a view on demanded profiles and cohort needs
Other HR & Analytics
- With the support of the Platinion CT Senior Manager and local HR teams, act as a thought partner to the local leadership by addressing and resolving issues faced by individuals
- Track employee movements in our HR tools with the support of the Talent/CD Specialist and local HR department (promotions, dismissals, holidays, Parental leaves, Flexleave, Sickness, Trainings)
- Monitor staff activity and participation in key aspects of morale, retention and affiliation (e.g., integration and affiliation programs and events, MDAs, red zone reports, PTO support etc.)
- Contribute to People projects and initiatives, including but not limited to the Annual People Team Survey, ensuring alignment with the broader L-A-B People agenda
- Work closely with Office People Teams to ensure information sharing, best practice codification, and efficient operations
- Actively participate in the broader EMESA Consulting People Team community including sharing best practices and participating in regional initiatives and projects
What You'll Bring
- University degree or equivalent preferred
- 4-5 years of experience in HR management, Talent management, Recruitment or L&D
- Interest and basic knowledge of concepts such as GenAI, IT architecture and Digital solutions (ERP, Data platforms, Cloud)
- Fluency in English
Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Platinion leadership team of L-A-B and interact with different departments of the firm (Finance, HR, Mobility, L&D, Recruiting, Teaming). You will report to the Platinion LAB CT People Senior Manager.
