Job Summary
BP PLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Convenience Europe Director to lead and drive the strategic growth and operational excellence of our convenience retail business across Europe. This role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our customer offerings and expanding our market presence.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the overall strategic plan for convenience retail operations across European markets, aligning with BP's global objectives.
* Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of agility, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
* Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, driving retail territory development and expansion initiatives.
* Oversee retail category management, optimizing product assortment, pricing, and promotions to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
* Leverage customer data knowledge and analytical thinking to gain insights into customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
* Translate data visualization and interpretation into actionable strategies and informed business decisions.
* Cultivate and manage strong partner relationships, fostering collaborative growth and ensuring effective negotiation planning and preparation.
* Drive digital collaboration initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
* Champion industry knowledge and advocacy, staying abreast of evolving market dynamics and regulatory changes.
* Develop and implement effective retail training programs to elevate team capabilities and service standards.
* Ensure effective knowledge sharing across teams and regions to propagate best practices and foster continuous learning.
* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in all decision-making, optimizing financial performance and achieving key business targets.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting strategic vision and operational performance with clarity and conviction.
Job Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within convenience retail, preferably with a focus on European markets.
* Demonstrated expertise in Agility core practices and methodologies.
* Exceptional Analytical Thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights.
* Strong Commercial Acumen, with a track record of achieving financial targets and driving profitable growth.
* Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging diverse stakeholders.
* Deep understanding of Customer centric thinking and its application in retail strategy.
* Proficiency in Customer data knowledge, including data analysis and interpretation.
* Expertise in Data visualization and interpretation tools and techniques.
* Experience in fostering Digital Collaboration and leveraging technology for business improvement.
* Strong Industry knowledge and advocacy within the convenience retail sector.
* A commitment to Knowledge Sharing and building a learning culture.
* Proven ability in Negotiation planning and preparation, with successful outcomes in complex agreements.
* Extensive experience in Partner relationship management, building and maintaining strategic alliances.
* In-depth understanding of Retail Category Management principles and practices.
* Demonstrated success in Retail territory development and market expansion.
* Strong Retail training skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
