Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.As a Treasury Controllership Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Treasury Controller and HedgeCo Controller with the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for GE HealthCare’s investments in cash equivalents and short-term liquid instruments, intercompany funding structures, and statutory/legal entity controllership for Treasury-center entities.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the team with the goal of driving process simplification through digitization, driving operational excellence and deliver a best-in-class Controllership function.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Partnering closely with the broader Treasury organization and collaborate with the Tax team to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business priorities,
Serving as a key Controllership contact for Treasury, providing regular reporting to stakeholders, offering advisory support, and resolving queries across Treasury, Finance, and business functions,
Supporting the Treasury Controller and HedgeCo Controller in the execution of day-to-day controllership activities and financial reporting processes,
Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accounting reports generated from trade management systems, account reconciliations, and external financial reporting deliverables,
Managing and maintain Treasury-related ledgers throughout monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes,
Monitoring and maintaining investment portfolios and liquidity positions to ensure accurate financial reporting and oversight,
Preparing full-year statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting for multiple legal entities.
Supporting quarterly Board of Directors reporting, including the preparation of management accounts, board presentations, and reporting packs.
Coordinating and support local and U.S. tax filings, reporting requirements, and related initiatives in partnership with Tax teams.
Assisting with internal and external audit activities by providing documentation, supporting inquiries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements,
Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance financial analytics, reporting capabilities, and operational insights,
Developing and maintaining financial and operational performance metrics to support decision-making and process effectiveness,
Performing P&L analysis, with a particular focus on cash pool performance and profitability,
Preparing and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) process documentation and support ongoing compliance activities,
Contributing to the development and enhancement of internal controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process improvements, and operational efficiencies,
Supporting cross-functional and ad hoc projects related to Treasury, Controllership, and Finance transformation initiatives,
Partnering with operational accounting teams to ensure strong controllership practices, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience,
Relevant professional/accounting qualification - ACA/ACCA,
Experience working in the treasury function of a multinational corporation or bank,
A strong controllership background with a proven track record is essential.

Experience of working on complex projects with strong regulatory and international finance component,
Experience with accounting and financial operations for cash pooling and other corporate funding structures,
Knowledge of FX and derivatives and hedging strategies an advantage,
Expert MS Office Skills, particularly proficient in Excel,
Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills across all organizational levels,
Demonstrated project and team management skills, strong process mindset and analytical skills,
Proven analytical and organizational skills,
Must have unrestricted authority to work in Ireland.
