As a Product Controller in the Product Control team, you help us maintain the integrity of our financial reporting and support our trading desks. You ensure profit and loss, balance sheet, and month-end close procedures are completed accurately and efficiently. You work closely with business managers, desk heads, and senior finance management to provide valuable insights and drive robust controls. Together, we deliver reliable financial information and support new business initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with profit and loss reporting and month-end close processes
  • Produce, consolidate, and analyze daily, monthly, and yearly profit and loss information
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
  • Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new initiatives
  • Coordinate across front and back office support functions to resolve control and reporting issues accurately and promptly
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and controls
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Support the team in meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
  • Challenge existing processes to identify opportunities for enhancement

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 2 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with profit and loss and month-end close processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Eagerness to challenge and improve current processes
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting trading desks or financial controllers
  • Exposure to financial analysis in a banking or trading environment
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems and tools
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Advanced Excel skills or experience with data analysis tools
