EMEA Management & Controls Governance Associate

As a Management & Controls Governance Associate within the EMEA Management & Controls Governance team, you will own the delivery of key first line of defence governance committees and produce high-quality materials, delivering informative insights to senior leaders. You will work at the intersection of multiple lines of business and functions, strengthening oversight frameworks and driving continuous improvement through intelligent solutions and automation. This role offers significant networking opportunities and visibility of the strategic initiatives impacting the EMEA businesses.
Job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of a key EMEA first line of defence governance committees, including planning, stakeholder coordination, materials preparation, Chair briefings, minutes, actions, and follow-ups
- Transform complex inputs into high-quality senior management decks and briefing packs that are accurate, polished, and delivered on time
- Partner across lines of business and functions to strengthen governance routines and deliver effective regional oversight
- Present themes and insights to senior management, highlighting key risk and control topics and emerging trends
- Drive strategic initiatives that continuously improve governance processes and frameworks, leveraging intelligent solutions and automation to streamline content creation and reduce manual effort
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in governance, controls, programme management, or a related role
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust quickly and influence confidently at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong business writing
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistently high standards for output quality
- Proactive, well-organised approach with strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to get up to speed on new topics quickly
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint (or PitchPro), Word, and Excel
- Confidence with process improvement, automation, and intelligent solutions to drive efficiency
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with SharePoint and Confluence for content management and collaboration
- Financial services experience and familiarity with regulatory and governance frameworks
- Experience supporting senior management or Board-level stakeholders
- Exposure to risk and control topics within a large, matrixed organisation
