Water / Wastewater Asset Optimisation Consultant

In this newly created role you will be responsible for the delivery of the asset perfomance, reliability and optimisation solutions of existing infrastructure and process plant across our client’s portfolio of wastewater treatment facilities. You will also be delivering project tasks, designs and working with stakeholder on water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.
Your remit will include;
- System Optimization: Analyze and enhance the performance of wastewater treatment processes to reduce energy consumption, chemical usage, and operational costs.
- Process Monitoring: Use data analytics and control systems to monitor plant performance and identify inefficiencies.
- Technology Integration: Implement technologies such as automation, sensors, and AI to improve treatment outcomes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and mechanical systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure systems meet environmental regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, local water authorities).
- Project Management: Lead or support projects aimed at upgrading or retrofitting existing infrastructure for better performance.
if you are an experienced water engineering professional with a good mix of the following skills, experience and attributes, we would be delighted to hear from you;
- A proven track record of delivering asset improvements in the Water sector.
- Achieved / Working towards Incorporated (IENG) or Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Water and/or wastewater networks
- Water and/or wastewater treatment works
- Hydraulics
- Control and Automation
- Ability to leverage latest practices and apply them to legacy systems.
- A curious mind that challenges today to reinvent tomorrow.
- Enthusiasm to solve problems and enjoy working as part of a large multi-national company.
- Worked within multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating and supporting junior Staff.
- Excellent communications skills to effectively engage with clients from all levels of their organisation.
- A proactive and keenness to take ownership of Client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business.
