Your impact

➡️ As our Operating Model Strategy Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how businesses deliver transformational change

➡️ You’ll design and implement operating models that go beyond theory—creating practical, actionable frameworks that align people, processes, and systems to achieve strategic goals

➡️ Your work will influence the built environment and infrastructure across the UK, leaving a lasting positive impact

Day-to-day, you’ll:

☑️ Lead client-facing operating model design and implementation projects (85%)

☑️ Engage and pitch to prospective clients to create and win project opportunities (5%)

☑️ Support bid activity by developing solutions and reviewing responses (5%)

☑️ Provide line management and mentor team members (5%)

About the Opportunity

Jacobs’ Organisational Effectiveness team partners with clients to define strategy, design operating models, and deliver lasting change. Our approach moves beyond traditional conceptual frameworks to create deliverables ready for implementation. You’ll join a collaborative, resilient team that thrives on solving complex problems and making effective use of resources.

Challenges you’ll tackle:

💵 Working within clients’ resource constraints to find creative solutions to meet their requirements

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Developing junior and mid-level staff into operating model experts

⚠️ Navigating ambiguity—client problem statements are often vague, and you’ll help bring clarity

Here's what you'll need

✅ Experience in leading strategy and/or operating model design and implementation projects

✅ Client-facing presence with strong communication skills

✅ Structured problem-solving approach and ability to work through ambiguity

✅ Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

✅ Effective leadership and collaboration to lead projects and mentor teams

✅ Resilience and persistence to build a pipeline of work

✅ Degree preferred; experience in the built environment/infrastructure sector advantageous

✅ Full-time availability with travel to client sites

🏙️ Jacobs operates a hybrid work environment and a 40 hour working week as standard
