Experienced Modeller with a real passion for Coding ????????
Utilising your coding skills, in this newly created role connecting Technology with flood risk, water management and wider climate resilience systems, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative digital solutions utilising your coding skills to transform how modelling and analysis is carried.
Applying your knowledge of hydraulic modelling and coding to contribute to solving a range of industry challenges in innovative ways, your remit will include:
- Support the adoption of innovative technology-led solutions across our area of the business.
- Incorporate innovative code-based solutions for data processing and analysis.
- Develop modelling and flood risk automation and data processing workflows.
- Apply geospatial data analysis and software automation alongside domain knowledge.
- Contribute to technology-led flood risk analysis projects.
- Develop and and implement technical innovation.
We would be delighted to hear from candidates with a real passion for coding alongside a good blend of the following skills, experience and attributes;
- Software/data/Coding engineering.
- Excellent Python coding skills, including experience of working with geospatial data in code, working with open source geospatial libraries (such as GeoPandas, GDAL, Fiona or Rasterio).
- Experience of tools such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or InfoWorks ICM.
- A sound understanding of hydrological and hydraulic principles.
- A collabortive approach towards stakeholder engagement.
