Your impact

We are seeking an experienced EHV and HVDC Cable Delivery Specialist to lead the planning, commercial management, and delivery of extra‑high‑voltage linear cable projects across the UK. This senior role will drive delivery excellence for major transmission clients and OEMs, ensuring we remain a trusted partner for strategic national infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of EHV and HVDC cable systems across all high‑voltage ranges.
  • Ensure full compliance with National Grid and OEM specifications.
  • Oversee cable route development, installation sequencing, and engineering assurance.
  • Manage commercial performance, including pricing, estimating, and contract oversight.
  • Drive performance against cost, schedule, quality, and safety KPIs.
  • Provide effective contractor‑facing leadership and build strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and support developing talent in line with Jacobs’ strategic growth priorities.
  • Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases.
Here's what you'll need
  • Extensive experience delivering EHN (132kv- 400kv+) and HVDC cable projects.
  • Strong knowledge of National Grid, SSE and OEM specifications.
  • Proven track record of leading high-value linear cable projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and procurement.
  • Chartered status with an industry recognised organisation.
