In this newly created role, you will join an fast‑growing innovative team that’s leading the way in developing and delivering WFD strategies, tools, and processes to support a healthy, resilient, and sustainable future across all water environments.
You won’t just deliver assessments — you’ll influence decisions, shape solutions, and work closely with clients, regulators, and project teams to achieve positive outcomes for both people and the environment.
As a trusted adviser to both clients and regulators, your remit will include:
- Support EIA, WFD, HRA, river basin management, and other water‑related regulatory assessments.
- Assessi waterbodies, ecological status, and construction and operational impacts, developing solutions in line with current and future legislation
- Develop practical, meaningful mitigation that protects habitats and water environments
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, client and regulators, to tackle complex challenges.
- Play an active role in building a supportive, innovative culture, helping us grow our capability and portfolio of solutions

We would be delighted to hear from candidates with demonstrable experience in Water Chapters, Environmental Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment, who have a real blend of the the following skills and attributes:
- Strong understanding of WFD objectives, classifications, and status assessments.
- Experience of designing WFD‑compliant mitigation and enhancement measures.
- Demonstrable track record in managing impact of construction and operational activities on rivers, lakes, groundwater, and wetland.
- Exposure to River Basin Management Planning.
- Sound knowledge of both EIA and HRA Assessments.
- Comfortable interpreting current legislation, alongside anticipating future regulatory change.
