From reducing flood risk to improving network performance and tackling climate challenges head-on, your expertise will directly influence how cities adapt and thrive. You’ll guide critical programmes for Northumbrian Water, United Utilities, and other leading UK utilities—partnering closely to deliver smarter, more sustainable drainage solutions end-to-end.

About the Opportunity

Here, you will:
- Lead high-impact urban drainage modelling projects across foul, combined and surface water systems
- Drive innovation using InfoWorks ICM, delivering insight across model build, verification and performance
- Tackle complex challenges—from flooding and CSO compliance to integrated catchment modelling and 2D overland flow
- Develop smart, sustainable solutions through optioneering and advanced analysis
- Work across the full lifecycle—from early strategy and feasibility to design, construction and optimisation
- Influence major programmes, engaging directly with clients as a trusted advisor
- Mentor and grow the next generation of engineers and modellers

- Advanced experience in urban drainage modelling, including InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset Manager
- Strong GIS capability (ArcGIS, MapInfo) to support technical excellence and decision-making
- Proven experience delivering complex water sector projects and building strong client relationships
- In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations and technical quality requirements
- Ability to lead across multiple workstreams, balancing priorities with confidence
- Professional membership with ICE or CIWEM (Chartered or working towards)
- A passion for mentoring, collaboration and driving technical excellence
