Unlike the Control Office and 2nd Line Risk, this role owns the business-level risk story.

Our exciting opportunity for a Chief Operating Office (COO) Business Unit Control Senior Manager provides a unique chance to be central to Lloyds Banking Group's growth ambitions. This position is key to ensuring that the COO in Corporate & Institutional Banking upholds a flawless risk and control profile, essential to our world-class operations.
Unlike the CIB Controls Office and 2nd Line Risk, this role owns the optimal design of COO controls and leadership of remediation activities across the COO.
Take responsibility for and upkeep the COO Business Unit Risk & Control Profile
Act as the single point of accountability for consolidating all risk and control information across the COO.
Maintain the non-financial risk profile, integrating incidents, issues, actions, and themes seamlessly.
Convert risk and control information into product themes, as required by the LBG risk management framework.
Control Ownership & Governance
Serve as the overarching control manager for COO BU controls, ensuring they are defined, assigned, and reviewed.
Align controls with the relevant roadmaps set out by the CIB Controls Office, strictly adhering to guidelines.
Risk Insight, Materiality Assessment & Management Reporting
Build and deliver comprehensive risk reporting for BU and COO committees.
Interpret findings from testing, audit, and risk reviews, providing insightful analysis.
Issue & Action Plan Management
Coordinate the remediation of issues, ensuring their timely closure.
Partner with the Control Office, Audit, and 2LOD to ensure action plans align with all relevant policies.
Risk Integration Across COO Functions
Consolidate themes from Markets Ops, Client Ops, Strategic Enablement, and CIB Platforms.
Provide early-stage risk input into transformation and operational change initiatives.
Business Resilience Alignment
Ensure resilience themes are reflected in the BU risk profile, maintaining our ambitious standards.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in control operation, outstanding analytical skills, and the ability to successfully implement complex control frameworks. Your expertise will help CIB grow and deliver more for our clients.
