What you’ll be doing:
We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Corporate & Institutional Banking business (CIB), working directly with the Managing Director of Lending and Credit Transformation, Portfolio Management. You'll support a critical, multi‑year programme to redesign the systems, data and infrastructure that underpin our lending, credit and risk distribution journeys. With CIB encouraged to materially increase revenues over the next five years, the role will help shape how platforms and processes evolve to support growth at scale while improving speed, accuracy and risk management for clients.
You'll play a key role in supporting the Managing Director to deliver the transformation agenda, working closely with platform teams, operations, credit risk and finance. The role spans a complex change journey, requiring strong stakeholder management, pace and a sharp focus on delivery, while keeping multiple workstreams aligned.
Contributing to the strategic vision for CIB’s future‑state infrastructure, you'll support the implementation of a common data framework for lending and credit and help develop enhanced asset and portfolio management capabilities by integrating internal and external data. You'll also help implement recommendations from the Oliver Wyman review and work across Operations, Credit, Risk, Platforms and Finance to deliver a redesigned infrastructure that significantly improves efficiency, transparency, and the risk and control environment.
Why join us?
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, make change happen and challenge the status quo. Sound like you?
What we’re looking for:
- 5 years’ experience in commercial lending platforms and operations, with a good understanding of the products, risk and client types within commercial banking
- A proven track record in supporting the delivery of complex change programmes within commercial banking
- Excellent project management skills; most particularly, a confirmed ability to coordinate multiple workstreams translating complex topics into clear written outputs, including papers and presentations for senior leadership forums
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels and across different audiences
- A structured, detail‑focused approach, with the judgement to identify risks, dependencies and escalation points early
We know that phenomenal talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.
This is a place for you:
