Department Profile
The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Department operates as a second-line risk management function within the Legal and Compliance Division, covering Compliance, Global Financial Crimes, and Operational Risk. The department delivers consistent oversight of non-financial risks, supporting an effective risk management program across the firm.
Non-financial risks include those risks with potential economic, reputational, regulatory, financial reporting, or client impact arising from inadequate processes, data, controls, infrastructure, environmental factors, and/or actions by individuals.

Team Profile
As a key member of the NFR EMEA COO team, the individual will provide support to the NFR EMEA COO and the department across various management activities, including but not limited to, budget and headcount management, annual planning, governance and management reporting, talent development and strategy, and other strategic initiatives.


What you'll do in the role:
- Partner with various Morgan Stanley and NFR stakeholders to assist with the management, evolution, and transformation of the department
- Participate in the planning, execution and maintenance of the EMEA NFR budget and own the monthly expense tracking, review and reporting
- Facilitate NFR EMEA headcount management activities, including annual planning, and reviewing resource requests
- Assist with the preparation of various reporting for Senior Management, enterprise governance committees, and Firm Board committees
- Assist with the planning and oversight of department-wide talent development efforts
- Ad-hoc project management and process improvement to identify and implement efficiencies across EMEA NFR

- High education degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with colleagues and business partners globally, and at all levels of seniority
- Proactive work ethic, able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently
- Well-developed organizational skills to manage time sensitive issues, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Advanced technology skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, Sharepoint, Teams), and willingness to develop and learn new technology
