About the role:
We are looking for a manager to join our dynamic Special Situations M&A team which helps companies preserve value, reduce risk and address business change through M&A transactions often in situations of complexity, sensitivity or corporate stress. Our work spans the breadth of accelerated M&A, corporate divestment and other bespoke transactions.
We have seen significant growth in client demand for these services and are looking to grow the team as a result.
What your days will look like:
Make significant contributions towards transaction workstreams through co-ordinating the day-to-day project management of deals.
With input from senior colleagues, take ownership of the preparation of client deliverables, such as the preparation of pitch documents, client marketing materials, analysis of financial information and bidder update documents.
Researching sector themes and specific client opportunities, using a variety of information sources, to develop an understanding of situations and identifying potential transactional opportunities.
Contribute to winning new work by supporting senior team members to prepare for and deliver client pitches and identifying new opportunities where appropriate.
The role is for you if:
Experience in M&A, special situations, restructuring, corporate valuations or related corporate finance work (deal experience preferred but not essential).
Must possess an ACA, ACCA or CFA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
Strong analytical and financial skills, with confident understanding of financial information and the ability to navigate areas of complexity and uncertainty.
Ability to manage and deliver tasks independently while balancing multiple priorities and consistently high-quality outputs.
Proven experience in project management of teams, with a track record of coaching and developing junior colleagues.
Stakeholder management skills, including interacting with senior business leaders such as client management teams and buyers.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
