About the role

PwC’s Insurance Tax team is the market leader in the provision of tax services to the UK insurance market.

The Insurance Tax team provides tax services to all sectors of the insurance market, including general insurers, life & health insurers, reinsurance carriers, brokers and the Lloyd’s of London market. Clients include the biggest names in UK insurance, as well as the largest European, US and Bermudan groups. Alongside the top tier insurance groups, the team work with a large number of medium sized businesses and start-ups.

The team works nationally, centred in London with practices in Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol.

The Insurance Tax team is offering an exciting opportunity to join its growing team at Senior Associate level. The role will require an ability to work as part of a team delivering a range of tax services to the insurance market.

What your days will look like:

• You will work as part of a team to deliver a wide range of corporate tax services to insurance clients

• There will be opportunities to develop deep knowledge and hands-on experience in the insurance sector as well as gain exposure across tax specialisms, including mergers & acquisitions, international tax, finance & treasury tax, tax audits, and group restructuring

• You will collaborate closely with tax professionals within the team and at client organisations

• There is the opportunity to build capability and accelerate your own development within a market-leading Insurance Tax team

This role is for you if:

• You have a strong UK corporate tax background

• Experience of working on tax compliance and tax advisory assignments

• Good tax accounting knowledge

• An ability to communicate effectively both with colleagues and senior stakeholders

• Good knowledge of Word and Excel and be able to demonstrate an interest in developing skills in newer technologies such as AI

• A desire to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing knowledge; and thinking creatively

• If you have a tax qualification such as ACA/ATT/CTA qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
