Our Financial Services Indirect Tax team is market leading, providing advisory, operational and compliance services to PwC’s largest and most important clients. We advise across all aspects of indirect tax, with specialists in VAT, customs, excise, stamp taxes and environmental taxes.
Our team is fuelled by curious minds who work together to provide innovative solutions to navigate challenges, both locally and globally.
As part of the team you’ll continue to build your tax technical skills as you work with a variety of clients across all business sectors, whilst at the same time have the opportunity to develop your operational consulting and technology skills as you support clients in how they deal with the day to day practicalities of meeting the requirements of an increasingly complex legal and regulatory landscape.

What your days will look like
  • We are essentially a consulting business and little of our work is routine. Projects range from one-off initiatives providing bespoke solutions to specific problems, working collaboratively with other specialisms within PwC to deliver a joined up solution to the client, through to advising UK clients on their international VAT obligations. One thing is guaranteed: the indirect tax practice, offers a wide variety of opportunities
  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assisting in the management and delivery of large projects
  • Training, coaching, and supervising staff

This role is for you if:

  • You have a proven track record in advising a board range of clients on complex Valued Added Tax (VAT) issues (Experience working within the financial services sector will be beneficial

  • You are a motivated, proactive individual that has the ability to build and maintain their own client relationships and to win new business with minimal oversight from Partners and Directors
  • You are able to assist in the development of VAT technical offerings and to easily disseminate complex messages in a manner that is easy to understand

  • You have previous experience in managing a client team and to support the development of junior staff

  • You have strong interpersonal and team working skills and excellent project management skills
