About the role:
In Lead Advisory we offer a full range of financial advisory services to our clients across; corporate finance, which includes acquisitions and disposals for corporate and private equity clients, restructuring M&A, valuations and debt & capital advisory. We operate across all industry sectors – clients range from corporates and private equity houses, to major government departments and private sector contractors and developers.
Our EURI Valuations practice, within Lead Advisory, provides advice on valuations of shares, businesses and portfolio companies, to a wide range of clients, including infrastructure funds, private businesses, government offices, private equity houses and individuals. Clients ask for our advice on valuation for many reasons, including to support them in transactions / restructuring exercises, to provide expert advice in disputes, to support valuations for tax authorities and to comply with their financial reporting, regulatory or other tax requirements. We also work with clients on strategic valuation issues, helping them to grow value in their businesses and providing guidance on investment and capital decisions.
We pride ourselves on being a dedicated valuations practice, with a true focus on industry specialisms. Our objective is to provide our clients with commercial, pragmatic valuation analysis that draws on industry insight and is grounded in technical excellence.
This role would represent an exceptional opportunity to move into Lead Advisory and to gain immediate exposure to transactional activity and Valuations within a strong team of experienced advisors.
The individual will not be expected to have any specific sector specialism although a background in Tax and/or Deals is preferable.
What your days will look like:
Day to day project work on live deals (e.g. carrying out required analysis, drafting information required e.g. valuation report deliverables, liaising with clients and other advisers
Financial modelling and analysis
Performing valuation analysis
Preparation of client deliverables: reports, presentations and pitch documents
Industry / company specific research
Business development activities including identification and targeting of potential opportunities
The role is for you if you:
As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive advisory and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Learning of technical skills to assist in the work we do, such as financial modelling, analysis of comparable companies, valuations concepts and their application in a regulatory environment
Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Keeping up to date with the energy, utilities, resources and infrastructure industries and the wider market, relevant regulatory changes and economic issues
Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Continuing to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
