About the role:

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a wellestablished sustainability team at a key stage in its evolution. The role supports PwC’s sustainability reporting process from data collection and analysis, to applying the data to help inform decisionmaking. The successful candidate will integrate data into strategic processes and contribute to an expanding range of ESG disclosures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for working with data, and preferably knowledge of sustainability reporting or carbon accounting, who can help enhance the quality, consistency, and impact of our sustainability insights by collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

What your days will look like:

  • Sustainability data collection, review, validation and methodology - Work with the reporting manager to ensure timely collection, review, and validation of sustainability data within the sustainability reporting platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting evidence. Coordinate with data owners across the business to challenge data quality, resolve queries, and confirm data is fit for reporting purposes. Maintain and update reporting methodologies, ensuring documentation remains reflective of evolving processes.

  • Emissions analysis and calculation - Develop analysis and calculations for Scope 3 emissions categories, including business travel, working from home, and commuting, ensuring methodological consistency, data quality, and alignment with reporting standards.

  • Reporting and assurance - Work with the reporting team to prepare environmental data for internal and external reporting, perform data governance and control procedures, and support internal and external assurance processes.

  • Insights, strategy, and regulatory reporting - Support the delivery of datadriven insights to inform decarbonisation initiatives and wider sustainability strategy and assist with internal and external regulatory reporting requirements such as UK SRS, TCFD, SECR, and CRP.

This role is for you if:

  • Demonstrates strong Excel skills and confidence working with numbers, including handling large datasets, as well an ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to identify anomalies and trends.

  • Passionate about sustainability with experience or academic knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g. UK SRS, TCFD, SECR and CRP), sustainability reporting or accounting, and an understanding of ESG metrics, how they are calculated and how they are used in internal and external reporting.

  • Able to support analysis and calculation of environmental data, including Scope 3 categories such as business travel, commuting, and working from home, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Confident working with a wide range of colleagues across the business, building effective relationships with data owners, following up on queries, and securing timely, accurate input data for reporting.

  • Demonstrates high attention to detail when reviewing data, and an ability to operate robust control procedures and support internal and external assurance processes.

  • Demonstrates proactivity, ability to manage multiple simultaneous deliverables and the capacity to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment with tight deadlines.
