About the role:

PwC is one of the world’s leading Professional Services organisations, advising successful organisations, entrepreneurs and private businesses through Audit, Tax, Consulting and Deals services. We are innovative and driven to meet our purpose of building trust in society and solving important problems.

The Manager of Strategic Workforce Planning – Strategic Workforce Intervention Portfolio is a key role supporting the firm’s shift towards more integrated, firm-wide workforce transformation and strategic workforce outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning and Future of Work, the role will own and coordinate the strategic workforce intervention portfolio across the firm’s workforce pillars, ensuring interventions are aligned, connected, prioritised and collectively delivering measurable business impact.

This role is uniquely positioned to shape how the firm responds to future workforce challenges and opportunities by connecting workforce planning insight with practical, enterprise-wide interventions. Working across the People Function, strategic pillar leads and Lines of Service, the role will help drive more joined-up workforce decisions, reduce fragmentation across initiatives and strengthen how strategic workforce planning informs business transformation.

The role requires a strong foundation in strategic workforce planning, with the ability to understand workforce challenges holistically across build, buy, borrow, bot, bind and bounce levers. It will translate workforce insight into practical, skills-enabled interventions that help the firm respond to evolving skills demand, changing workforce expectations, technology disruption, business growth and future delivery models.

What your days will look like:

  • Own and manage the strategic workforce intervention portfolio, aligning priorities across workforce pillars and ensuring delivery of measurable business and workforce outcomes.
  • Act as the central integration lead, connecting activity across pillars, identifying dependencies and driving greater alignment, consistency and coordination of interventions.
  • Translate workforce insight into action, converting planning data, business priorities and future trends into clear recommendations and practical, skills-based workforce solutions.
  • Drive governance and stakeholder engagement, delivering clear reporting, leadership insights and strategic narratives while advising senior stakeholders and leveraging digital tools to enhance decision-making and portfolio impact.

This role is for you if you:

  • Bring strong strategic workforce planning expertise, with experience across demand and supply planning, skills strategy and intervention design, and an understanding of build, buy, borrow, bot, bind and bounce levers.
  • Have proven experience managing complex portfolios or cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to coordinate priorities, manage dependencies and deliver outcomes in a matrix environment.
  • Are highly analytical and insight-driven, able to interpret workforce and business data, identify trends and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations using tools such as Power BI and digital analytics platforms.
  • Are a confident and credible stakeholder influencer, with excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills, able to engage senior leaders and build alignment across the People Function and Lines of Service.
  • Demonstrate effective self-leadership and adaptability, thriving in ambiguity, managing competing priorities and proactively driving progress in a fast-changing environment.
  • Bring a curious, forward-thinking mindset, with storytelling ability, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and future workforce trends.
