What your days will look like:

We're looking for people with a commercial mindset who can deliver commercial insight to our clients and enhance the Deal value through compelling analysis. As a Data & Analytics senior associate, you will play a key role in delivering analytics-led deal insight for clients, owning defined analytics workstreams within larger assignments, stretching yourself across many different industry sectors and engaging directly with clients, in a unique, commercially orientated role.

As part of this team you will help design and deliver high-quality analysis and insights to meet a range of business needs. For example:

  • Development of analytics showcasing the drivers and equity story of a business, either to management or to bidders, to increase deal confidence

  • Creation of analytics to arm management with data-driven insights, enabling fact-based decision making and driving value within the business

  • Working with clients to gather and understand data, including sourcing and integrating data from multiple internal and external sources (e.g. APIs, web data, industry datasets)

  • Using Python, SQL, Databricks and other data manipulation tools to structure, cleanse, transform and analyse large or complex datasets to support robust analysis

  • Using your technical expertise and translating this for non-technical stakeholders to support clear, evidence-based decisions

  • Creating reports, dashboards and presentations, and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders

  • Supporting business development and proposition development, including identifying opportunities to apply analytics to new client problems.

  • Helping raise technical standards across the team, including developing reusable analytical approaches, coaching Associates, supporting code and output review, and contributing to the quality of analytical delivery.

  • Bringing your ideas and creativity to the team, continuously challenging how we deliver the best outcomes

Most importantly, we need you to become a business partner and strategic advisor to our clients, translating and communicating your analysis to help answer critical commercial questions.

The role is for you if:

If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems, we would be interested in talking to you. You should be comfortable working with data, drawing insights and explaining your thinking clearly to others. Candidates should also be prepared to travel, as some opportunities may require working at other PwC offices or client sites across the UK or overseas on a temporary basis.

Essential requirements of the role:

  • Significant relevant experience in data analytics, data science, deals or a related analytical role.

  • Degree in a STEM related subject (Science / Technology / Engineering / Mathematics), and a clear interest in how data and technology can be used to solve business problems.

  • Strong practical experience using Python, Databricks and /or SQL to manipulate, analyse and interpret datasets, ideally in a professional or client-facing environment.

  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to accelerate workflow development, improve analytical efficiency and support more scalable analytics delivery.

  • Data visualisation and presenting insights in a clear and structured way (e.g. Power BI or similar).

  • Experience working with, structuring or combining multiple data sources (including large or complex datasets).

  • Experience of coaching / training juniors to support their development.

In addition, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Commercial thinking to complex problems, leveraging data analytics to generate insights and support decision-making.

  • An ability to translate data and analysis into clear, commercially relevant insights.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach ambiguous or complex questions.

  • Confidence communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach, with the ability to learn quickly and work effectively as part of a team.

The role requires flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
