About the role:

The Corporate Finance Technology, Media, and Telecoms (“CF TMT”) team are sector specialists in M&A, capital raising, and strategic advice. Our primary focus sectors include:

  • Software;

  • FinTech;

  • IT services and Data;

  • Digital infrastructure; and

  • Artificial intelligence (including AI-native businesses, and AI infrastructure).

We have an excellent reputation for bringing deep industry expertise and actionable insights to our clients through our analysis and market leading deals experience. Our team is encouraged to work on an agile basis across a range of sector, products, and services.

This covers advice in areas including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions (both sell-side and buy-side);

  • Raising growth capital, including for construction of new telecoms and digital infrastructure; and

  • Strategic and commercial advice for businesses and investors.

We also collaborate with our specialist teams on restructuring situations and technology valuations.

What your days will look like:

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive advisory and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Learning of technical skills to assist in the work we do, for example, financial analysis, financial modelling, valuations, running M&A processes, report writing

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Supervising and coaching junior team members, including in our overseas delivery centre

  • Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients

  • Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients, as well as supporting proposals to clients for new work

  • Continuing to develop both internal and external relationships, and your PwC brand

This role is for you if:

  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to think laterally

  • A proactive attitude with good attention to detail

  • Ability to grasp complex commercial issues quickly

  • Demonstrable interest in deals, as well as a curious mindset and willingness to work in and learn about the range of sub-sectors, services and clients we cover in the TMT market

  • An interest in the technology, media and telecoms sectors, and appetite to specialise in these sectors

  • High level of MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. An appetite to develop advanced financial modelling skills with training and coaching support is desirable

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and analysis in concise and easy-to-understand language, both verbally and in writing

  • High ambition coupled with the ability to deliver and to work effectively in teams

  • Strong time management skills under tight deadlines

  • Able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary project teams including a range of specialists from PwC, the client and the client’s other advisors

  • Must possess an ACA/CA/ACCA qualification (or international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
