An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation and Commissioning Engineer within the Civil Nuclear sector. This to lead a critical Project relating to our Programme at Hinckley Point C Nuclear Power Station in Somerset.

The Installation and Commissioning Engineer will be supporting the Site Team in the Installation and Commissioning of the UDGs (Ultimate Diesel Generators) and providing advice and guidance in operational processes and procedures.
As the Installation and Commissioning Engineer you will develop business strategies for site delivery of installation, test and commissioning work. Develop Rolls-Royce document templates for the provision of documentation. You will assist in writing company procedures for the management of site work.
What you will be doing:
Supporting the Site Team in the Installation and Commissioning of the UDGs
- Support the Site based team.
- Visit the site to support ongoing operations at HPC Somerset.
- Assist the Logistics co-ordinators in equipment delivery to site.
- Support the delivery of the equipment into the EDF NNB remote warehouses and produce supporting documentation including Care and Maintenance plans and schedules whilst ensuring storage conditions and maintaining inventory control.
- Lead reviewer for document packages (e.g. Packaging Specifications / Packing List / Storage and Transport Specifications).
- Assist with creation of Outline Installation Method Statements
- Create, review and manage UDG system Commissioning Procedures
- Offer technical solutions to site install and commissioning issues
- Operate and manage site management systems (SWITCH, VMS, WIMS etc)
Position Qualifications
- Experience of large / complex site systems installation and commissioning.
- Degree or Equivalent Qualification or Experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong documentation creation experience, although site work will be an integral part of this role.
