We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join our On-Wing Services
business as a Technical Planner.
As a Technical Planner, you will be the operational heartbeat of our On-Wing Services business. You’ll manage incoming service requests, validate maintenance data, plan manpower and tooling, and coordinate work execution - whether carried out by Rolls-Royce field service teams or by approved Part 145 suppliers.
What you will be doing:
- Request of Service & Data Validation - receive and process On-Wing service requests, validate maintenance data and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Planning & Scheduling - Build detailed job plans and schedule and track multiple concurrent On-Wing maintenance events.
- Supplier Management (Part 145 Coordination) - Act as the primary interface between Rolls-Royce and approved Part 145 maintenance suppliers. Confirm supplier capability, manpower availability, and readiness to execute the work.
- Resource & Logistics Coordination - Arrange tooling dispatch and return, liaising with stakeholders for time-critical shipments. Manage visa, travel, and airport pass requirements for mechanics.
- Operational Control & Live Job Support - Monitor ongoing maintenance events, react swiftly to operational issues and document lessons learned.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement - Maintain professional communication with airline operations centres, internal Rolls-Royce functions, and supplier partners, providing accurate, real-time updates on job progress.
Preferred requirements:
- Understanding of Repair and Overhaul business.
- NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship / HNC / A levels or equivalent.
- Excellent Planning skills with an attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP (in particular MRP).
- Capable of working to priorities and tight timescales.
- Experience of working in a fast paced operations environment.
