Context
The Modeller will work with a team of other modellers and engineers producing and delivering the electrical and mechanical design of allocated Projects as instructed by the projects Lead Engineer and/or the Senior Modeller.
Missions/Main Duties
- Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self-checking, with minimum input by others
- Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality
- Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made
- Provide guidance to more junior members of the CAD/BIM team

Profile/Skills
- A high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others
- A high level of ability in applying procedures and standards that apply to CAD/Modelling and provide guidance to others
- Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment
- Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development
- Experience of using data management systems
- Experience of safety standards and CDM regulations and a track record of applying them, showing an ability to identify and mitigate hazards in designs
- Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Experience of using other CAD/BIM modelling products such as AutoDesk/Revit would be useful
- Experience of Projectwise would be useful
- Ability to travel to other offices on occasion
